What’s the best place to put my bird box?

Ideally 6-10 feet (1.8-3 meters) above the ground – high enough to deter predators but still accessible for maintenance. The hole is 30mm which works really well for Blue Tits and Great Tits. It’s good to hang it facing east or southeast to avoid strong winds and rain while catching the morning sun, on a tree, wall, or fence, the quieter the better.  Above all keep away from direct sun to avoid overheating.

Yes, I make these by hand in my small workshop in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Built using wood from sustainable sources.

What species of birds is this designed for?
